Ganesha Pancharatnam - Part 1

Ganesha Pancharatnam comprises of 5 shlokas (pancharatnam meaning 5 jewels) praising Lord Ganesha. This stotram is written in Sanskrit by Jagadguru Shri Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century, We will learn the version of this stotram as sung by the great carnatic vocalist, Smt. M.S. Subbulakshmi in a ragamalika : namely, Hamsadhwani, Malahari, Kalyanavasantham, Kuntalavarali, Madhyamavati.  You can hear it here.

मुदाकरात्तमोदकं सदा विमुक्तिसाधकं

कलाधरावतंसकं विलासिलोकरक्षकम् ।

अनायकैकनायकं विनाशितेभदैत्यकं

नताशुभाशुनाशकं नमामि तं विनायकम् ॥१॥


Mudaa-Karaatta-Modakam Sadaa Vimukti-Saadhakam
